ISO 14343 A G 18 8Mnn

Application

For welding non-magnetic, high manganese steel and hardening corrosion-resistant steel, can also be applied in special occasions such as nuclear submarines and bulletproof steel plates that require non-magnetic properties. It can also be used for welding dissimilar steels that are difficult to weld and prone to cracking.

Characteristics

JL-M307Si is a 21%Cr-9%Ni-6%Mn pure austenitic Stainless Steel Welding Wire. Due to its high Mn content, the crack sensitivity is low. With the addition of Si, the molten iron has excellent fluidity, ensuring a stable welding arc and a more aesthetically pleasing shape. It can be welded in all positions.

Note

For MIG welding, the shielding gas flow rate should be maintained at 18-25 L/min using Ar+2%O2 mixture. Wind shields must be employed when wind speed exceeds 0.5 m/s.

For TIG welding:

Gas flow rate should be 5-14 L/min at welding currents between 15-200 A Gas flow rate should be 14-24 L/min at welding currents between 200-320 A

Pure argon must be used as shielding gas. Wind shields are required when wind speed exceeds 1.0 m/s.

Pre-welding requirement: Both MIG and TIG welding processes require thorough removal of rust, oil, moisture and other contaminants from workpieces.

Note: The above parameters serve as reference only. Users shall establish suitable welding procedures based on specific production conditions.
