Application

Suitable for welding of the same type of ultra-low carbon duplex stainless steel materials in petrochemical, nuclear power, shipbuilding and other industries, such as 00Cr22Ni5Mo3N duplex stainless steel.

Characteristics

JL-E2209-16 is a super low-carbon duplex stainless steel electrode with a rutile-type flux coating, made of Cr22Ni9Mo3N. It is suitable for both AC and DC welding and can be used in all-position welding. This electrode offers excellent welding performance. Due to its low carbon content and the presence of molybdenum and nitrogen, the weld metal exhibits strong corrosion resistance, particularly in resisting stress corrosion.

Note

The welding rod shall be baked for 1.5 hours at 250℃ before welding, and shall be used immediately after baking.

Rust, oil, water and other impurities on the welding parts must be removed before welding.

It is recommended to use a DC power supply, because the welding depth is shallow with AC welding, and the current should not be too high to avoid cracking of the coating.

Minimize the amount of heat input, and the swing amplitude of the electrode should not be too large.

Preheat and interpass temperature should be kept below 150℃ .
