Applicable for welding important low-alloy steel structures, such as 16Mn and 16MnR.
The JL-E507R is a high-toughness low-alloy steel welding electrode with a low-hydrogen sodium-type alkaline coating. It adopts DC reverse polarity and enables all-position welding. The welding process exhibits excellent performance, featuring stable arc, minimal spatter, easy slag removal, and aesthetically formed weld seams. The weld metal possesses good low-temperature impact toughness.
Deposited metal chemical composition:%
Diffusion hydrogen content of deposited metal:≤5.0mL/100g (Mercury method) X-ray inspection requirements for deposited metal:Grade I
for 1 hour)
Reference welding parameter:(DC+)
The welding electrode must be baked at 350-380°C for 1 hour before welding, then stored in a thermostat at 100-150°C for immediate use when needed.
Remove rust, oil, water, and other impurities from the work piece before welding.
During welding, short arc operation should be used, with the oscillation amplitude not excessively large, and narrow weld bead welding is preferable.
To prevent the occurrence of arc initiation porosity, arc initiation plates or the arc initiation return method should be used for welding.
