Application

Suitable for welding structural components such as medium carbon steel and low alloy steel, such as Q345, 09Mn2Si, 16Mn, etc.

Characteristics

The JL-J506 is a low-hydrogen potassium-type alkaline coated electrode. It can be used with both AC and DC power sources and is suitable for all-position welding. It features excellent welding process performance, stable arc, minimal spatter, easy slag removal, and aesthetically pleasing weld formation. The weld metal exhibits superior mechanical properties and crack resistance.

Note

The welding rod must be baked at 350-380°C for 1 hour before welding and used immediately after baking.

Remove rust, oil, water, and other impurities from the work piece before welding.

During welding, short arc operation should be used, with the oscillation amplitude not excessively large, and narrow weld bead welding is preferable.

To prevent the occurrence of arc initiation porosity, arc initiation plates or the arc initiation return method should be used for welding.
