Application

Particularly suitable for hardfacing applications requiring resistance to extreme wear (especially sliding wear) and heavy impact. Capable of withstanding heavier impacts than standard chromium carbide grades. Typical applications include bucket teeth/lips, ash hoppers, press screws, crusher hammers, and ripper teeth.

Characteristics

The deposited metal contains a large amount of chromium/niobium carbides, with above HRC65.

Note

The welding rod must be baked at 250±10°C for 1 hour before use.

The work piece must be preheated to above 300°C before welding to prevent cracking.
